I just installed an automatic update of Sun Java on my Windows XP virtual machine (I need it for school, otherwise, I would not have XP at all. Hissss.) The installation program offers Google Toolbar as an optional but pre-selected installation choice. That’s bad. I don’t like it. It’s rude. I’m generally a fan of Google and rather ho-hum about Sun Java (I should probably switch that). But pre-selected options in an installation routine are sneeky and disrespectful, and I don’t like being disrespected. Boo-hiss to both Sun and Google for this.
